John Hilton is the founder and chief editor of Setick with more than a decade of broad expertise and experience in home improvement specializing in smart home upgrades and home safety & security from security systems, surveillance cameras, home safes to gun safety.

John acquired vast knowledge and skills in these areas over ten years of absorbing information gained from books and articles and his own experience from practicing, researching, and testing devices in his house. John's career began in his childhood when he replaced a light switch all by himself for the first time and then worked full-time as a physical security consultant and kept learning from industry experts.

In 2021, John founded Setick with the mission of spreading knowledge on his beloved security and home improvement topics and slowly expanding to cover all things home including decorating and interior & outdoor design.
